Vietnam Airlines cuts its fuel add-on fees again

The new fuel surcharge for one-way tickets on the Hanoi-HCMC, HCMC-Hai Phong, Hanoi-Nha Trang, Hanoi-Da Lat, Hanoi-Buon Ma Thuot, HCMC-Vinh, and HCMCDong Hoi routes will be VND120,000 (US$7.2), down from the present VND150,000 ($9).
The current VND100,000 ($6) surcharge for one-way tickets on the Hanoi-Da Nang, HCMC-Da Nang, Hanoi-Hue, HCMC-Hue, HCMCPleiku and HCMC-Chu Lai routes will now be VND80,000 ($4.8)/ticket.
The fuel surcharge for 14 short one-way routes, including HCMCNha Trang, HCMC-Da Lat, Da Nang-Nha Trang, HCMC-Phu Quoc and HCMC-Con Dao will be reduced to VND60,000 ($3.6) from VND90,000 ($5.4)/ticket at present.
Airline officials said the new rates will go into effect Monday, September 15.
